Aerial Frost Fighting

Waipara Hills Helicopters is available for aerial frost fighting in Canterbury and Marlborough.

Frost protection work is very important at certain times of the year. Frost protection involves hovering over a vineyard or orchard moving slowly over the area to force the warm air from above down onto the trees or vines to raise the temperature above critical level to prevent extensive damage to the crop.

All of our aircraft are set up for frost protection tasking with the ability for onsite relocation for rapid response.
